#1 Pick of the 2010 Fantasy Football Draft
Chris JohnsonIcon SMI

Tuesday, June 29, 2010

Not too much suspense here. 2010's number one looks to be... Chris Johnson, but you already knew that. With over 2500 rushing + receiving yards in 2009, it will take a mighty drop in production before anyone questions whether or not he should have been first off the board.

The only other player to even enter the conversation is Adrian Peterson. Never a bad pick, but we should point out that (using FFBFreaks standard scoring) Johnson bested Adrian by nearly 60 points, amounting to an additional 3.5 points per game.

There are some concerns with Johnson going into the 2010 season. He carried the rock over 350 times last year and history suggests that we should expect a dropoff the following season. He also added some weight in the offseason, and even though it is all muscle, weight is not an asset when it comes to speed. So we'll all have to wait and see how that plays out.

Regardless of the questions (every player has some), we're standing beside Chris Johnson as the #1 pick in this years draft.
