Bush promptly signed a new deal with the team for 2 years and $10 million according to ESPN. Bush still had value for New Orleans as a role player, but if $5 million a year was the number, they had to part ways. Miami should be a great fit for Reggie Bush. As he packs his bags for South Beach, let's discuss how his arrival could affect the team. Fantasy Outlook: Bush has greater potential on a team like Miami than he did with the Saints. Instead of just being a role player, he could be a factor every week. The increase in looks and touches simply increases his value. The style of play also works in his favor. Miami likes to mix things up with the wildcat and anything they can do to create confusion will put Bush in a better position to be successful. He does his best work when he has space to be slippery. The acquisition also works well for rookie RB Daniel Thomas. We knew Miami would have to go out and get another back, we just didn't know who. Finding out that back is Reggie Bush, who poses minimal threat to Thomas' playing time, bodes well for his prospects in 2011. If the Dolphins stop there, both Bush and Thomas get a bump up to their draft stock. Sources: ESPN |
