Beanie Wells Stock is Actually Rising

If you owned the Arizona Cardinals Beanie Wells last season then you might hold a bit of a grudge. The young running back disappointed, finishing with a pathetic 51 points and failing to contribute anything of note after week 8. As a result, we currently have him ranked as the 31st best RB, not exactly a supportive position.

Then Arizona traded away Tim Hightower to Washington and suddenly Beanie's stock is on the rise. Right now, the Cardinals backfield is mainly comprised of Wells and recent draft selection Ryan Williams.

The decrease in depth on this team means that Beanie now has value simply because he is going to receive a lot more touches.

Fantasy Outlook:
There's no doubt that Beanie has more value now than he did prior to this trade. He's still not the kind of back you want to rely on to fill your second RB slot in standard leagues, but at this point we regard him as a solid sleeper pick that you should look for deeper in your draft.

Can't pull the trigger on Wells, he is and will always be a Buckeye first.
