To Worry or Not to Worry: Week 12

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Worry

Fitzpatrick had 209 passing yards with no touchdowns in a loss against the extremely weak Dolphins pass defense on Sunday. I can’t imagine that Fitzpatrick can do any better against the Jets this Sunday. The Jets have the 6th best pass defense in the league and are really fighting to get this win. It would put them one game over on the Bills, giving them some breathing room, and get them closer to that Wild Card spot. The Jets are dying to win this game, not to say the Bills aren’t, but the Jets are just flat out a better football team right now. I can see one passing touchdown and 235 yards, but nothing close to spectacular.

Matt Forte, Do Not Worry

Da Bears shot down the already aching San Diego Chargers on Sunday, but in the process lost their starting quarterback for the rest of the regular season. However, they have recently signed Josh McCown. The passing attack against the Raiders this Sunday should be very poor, meaning Da Bears will have to run it a significant amount. The Raiders have a very poor rush defense, allowing some of the most yards and touchdowns on the ground in the league this season. Even though Forte’s stats have dropped in the last three weeks, he should bounce back in this game. Whether or not they’ll win is a different story, but I expect to see a whole lot better than his 57 yards with no touchdowns last week. Around 100 yards rushing and two touchdowns sounds about right.

Wes Welker, Do Not Worry

Welker had one of his worst games of the season against the Chiefs Monday Night with just two receptions for 22 yards. However, he is still one of the best receivers in the NFL right now and should do great against the Eagles on Sunday. People seem to panic when their fantasy players are playing the Eagles, but there is no reason to here! The Eagles are a bad 4-6 and have allowed a bad 18 touchdown receptions. The reason is because even though they have great corners, they can’t tackle! Welker has never scored a touchdown against the Eagles, but that should end this Sunday if his knee injury is as minor as we think.

DeMarco Murray, Worry

Murray did okay against the Redskins Sunday with 73 rushing yards. Playing on Thanksgiving at 4:15 (ET) against the Miami Dolphins should be no easy task, especially with the short week. The Dolphins, believe it or not, have the 6th ranked run defense in the NFL and have allowed just seven touchdowns on the ground all year long (tied at 14th in the league with five other teams). Especially with the return of running back Felix Jones (he's Questionable, but expected to play), I just can’t see Murray having too good a day.
