We are inching closer to another exciting Fantasy Football season and it all starts right here with heavy preparation for draft season. To kick things off, we have released our initial rankings for the 2012 Fantasy Football Draft.

Leading the pack for a second straight year is the Texans' stud Running Back Arian Foster. He was a questionable #1 last season with injury concerns, but we stood by him and he proved us right. He finished with the 4th highest point total in fantasy football, despite missing 3 games. Only 5 points separated him from moving into the 3rd slot ahead of Maurice Jones-Drew. Look at it from another angle and his 19.0 points per game were the most amongst all running backs. There is no doubt that he deserves top billing again in 2012.

Next up are two more freakish RBs in Baltimore's Ray Rice and Philadelphia's LeSean McCoy. With Rice finally safely under contract and McCoy's Eagles having more time to gel as a team, the sky is the limit for these two.

Rounding out the top 5 is a WR and a QB. We've all seen the tide changing in recent years as more non-RB players crack the top 10 and the push continues. Obviously these slots are well earned by Detroit's Calvin Johnson and the Packers' Aaron Rodgers.

I could go on and on about all of the exciting potential in this year's draft, so why don't you stop over to our full list of Draft Rankings and scout out the best talent and hidden gems that you will want to target on draft day.
