Jags Sign Edwards and Garrards Seat Gets Hotter

David Garrard's seat was already warming up before the season began. Three weeks in, the temperature has cranked up dramatically. The latest uptick comes with the Jaguars signing recently released Trent Edwards.

Jacksonville has looked terrible this season on both sides of the ball, but Garrard has been a focal point when it comes to underperformance. In three games, he has yet to establish the passing game with his highest output being 173 yards against San Diego, a game in which he threw 4 interceptions.

Last Sunday, he finished with a sad looking 105 yards and another Int against the Eagles.

Fantasy Outlook:
It's clear that Jacksonville is positioning themselves for a move at quarterback. If they had a decent option backing him up he might already find himself on the bench. The Trent Edwards signing gives the Jags another option so it may just be a matter of time before Garrard gets pulled.

At this point, we can't recommend keeping either QB on your roster. Edwards wasn't exactly worth starting in most leagues when he was with the Bills.
