Branch Headed Back to New England
Deion BranchIcon SMI

Monday, October 11, 2010

Less than a week after sending Randy Moss back to his first team in Minnesota, the Patriots have executed another trade. This time it is for a homecoming of their own, acquiring Deion Branch from the Seahawks according to ESP's Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Outlook:
Branch has not had a big fantasy impact for a while now. He hasn't recorded a double digit point game yet this year or all of '09. Of course he didn't have Tom Brady throwing to him.

Having been a former Patriot (and Super Bowl MVP with the Pats), he is also very familiar with Brady so you shouldn't expect a long window for him to get acclimated to the offense.

Branch is essentially Randy Moss' replacement and should have a big role. If you need help at WR, he's definitely worth picking up.
