Eagles Are Ready to Soar

Saturday, November 6, 2010

The Eagles have a lot going for them this week. Sources have long noted Andy Reid's post-bye week record of success and the team should return to full strength after getting a couple players back from injury. If you own some Eagles, then your roster will get a boost as well.

QB Michael Vick will be back for the first time since suffering an injury in week 4 against the Redskins. WR and playmaker Desean Jackson is also looking good to return to action since suffering a concussion against Atlanta in week 6.

The Eagles need all the help they can get as they square off against Indianapolis. With Vick and Jackson back in the lineup, the Eagles make for a real threat to the perennial super bowl contenders. Vick seems certain to go, but continue to watch Jackson just to ensure he doesn't suffer any setbacks before Sunday's tilt.

Fantasy Outlook:
The Colts rank 10th against both QB and WR, but that is partly due to teams pounding them on the ground (they rank 28th against the run). Vick's athleticism and running ability will allow him to take advantage of whatever the Colts give him. If they play the pass, he can run. If they try to stop him from running, then he can burn them via Jackson or Jeremy Maclin.

The other benefactor Sunday is RB LeSean McCoy. Any attention the Colts send Vick's way will leave holes for McCoy.

The only Eagle we're not high on this week is TE Brent Celek. The Colts rank 1st against the TE and Celek has yet to show production when paired with Vick (best outing 4 points).

We'll see how the points shake out, but you'll want to lock Vick, Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy in your lineups this week.
