Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos OT Orlando Franklin (toe, shoulder, eyes) had three different operations during the offseason. He had surgery to implant contact lenses under his eyes because he was too nearsighted to have LASIK surgery. He said his toe and eyes are 100 percent, but his shoulder is about 85 percent.

Denver Broncos OG Chris Kuper (forearm) will miss six weeks after suffering a broken ulna in his left forearm during practice Tuesday, Aug. 14. Kuper could miss the first three games of the regular season. C Manuel Ramirez is expected to start at right guard in his absence, and OT Orlando Franklin could move in from right tackle with either OTs Chris Clark or Ryan Harris at right tackle.
