Raiders | Owen Schmitt to sign: The Oakland Raiders will sign free-agent FB Owen Schmitt (Eagles) to a one-year deal, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Financial terms weren't given. FB Marcel Reece has yet to sign his exclusive-rights tender offer and isn't working out in voluntary activities.

Raiders | Marcel Reece not being used much: Oakland Raiders RB Marcel Reece touched the ball only twice in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins and only six times against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14. Head coach Hue Jackson said Reece hasn't been used much recently at the expense of three wide receiver sets. 'We end up going into our three wide receiver set. That's why we were able to move the ball so frequently. Marcel is a really, really good player as you know. Certain packages defenses are going to defense in certain ways,' Jackson said.
