Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson indicated he does not completely understand the team's signing of RB Shonn Greene but expects to be fine with the situation. 'I have never been a big fan of the two-back system, so I dont know how we plan on using him,' Johnson. 'Im not afraid of competition, but I was thinking wed maybe get a draft pick for the other back. And you dont give a guy that kind of money to be just a goal-line guy and in tough-yardage situations. So well see what happens.'

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson said he is not in favor of the team using a two-running back system in 2013. Johnson added the team has traditionally used a goal-line back in his place, but he wants to remain the primary runner. 'I know I deserve them touches, but at the end of the day, they're the coaches and I gotta go with whatever they're doing. I'm a team player, and if they feel like they can help us win by putting a bigger guy in there I'm not going to pout about it,' Johnson said. 'But if it's a situation where it's a two-back system, I played in a two-back system in college and I don't like it because you really can't get into a groove. That's something I wouldn't be happy with.'

Tennessee Titans running backs coach Sylvester Croom said the team would like to add another running back that will work with RB Chris Johnson. 'I truly believe if youre serious about running the football, youve got to have two guys actually both able to carry the load during the season,' Croom said. '... If youre going to really run, Im talking 30-plus times a game, there arent many that can do that for 16 games anymore, their bodies cant take it.' Croom said the team will not look to diminish Johnson's role on offense but would like another back that can do different things and fill a different role.
