New York Jets quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh said QB Mark Sanchez must make better decisions if he is to cut down on costly interceptions in 2012. 'There were turnovers that were not his fault that were credited to him,' Cavanaugh said of the quarterback. 'But there were enough that, playing that position, he needs to cut some of those down. New York Jets OG Matt Slauson said the team will essentially have two different offenses this year with QBs Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow being mixed in. Sanchez will be the starter, but the team plans to use Tebow as an H-back, fullback and running back. Tebow will also be used as the 'personal protector' on the punt team. 'You guys will be really surprised by what Mark's going to do this year,' Slauson said. 'The way we're going to be running things plays right into Mark's strengths, running the ball.
